With more than 25 years of professional work, Aldridge is today one of the few contemporary photographers still predominantly shooting on film.

This poster comes from his largest retrospective to date, Virgin Mary. Supermarkets. Popcorn. Photographs 1999–2020, exhibited at Fotografiska Stockholm. The show featured over 120 works, including collaborations such as (after Cattelan) with Maurizio Cattelan. The photograph depicts women shopping in a store, a vibrant, stylish, and unsettling scene that exemplifies Aldridge’s unique exploration of beauty, consumerism, and hidden tension.
